Two in custody after Coogee home invasion, pursuit to Alexandria, NSW

Two men have been hospitalised, and two more have been arrested, following an alleged home invasion in South Coogee and subsequent pursuit to Alexandria earlier today.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were called to the home invasion in Jensen Place, South Coogee, just after midday (Saturday 26 January 2019).

While on the way to the scene, police spotted a white 4WD believed to have been connected to the incident on Malabar Road.

A brief pursuit took place to Anzac Parade, where officers lost sight of the vehicle.

Subsequently, the police airwing, PolAir, tracked the vehicle to a terrace house on Campbell Street, Alexandria, and a perimeter was established.

Entry was forced, and four men were found inside.

Two of the men, aged 28 and 50, were taken to hospital in a stable condition due to suspected drug use.

The other two men, aged 28 and 25, were taken to Redfern Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
