Two in custody over Richmond suspicious death

Two people are in custody and assisting police with their inquiries following the suspicious death of a 22 year old man by the side of Colebrook Road at Richmond in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Detective Inspector Doug Rossiter said that a youth and a 29 year old Moonah man remain in custody following the death of Jarrod Leigh Turner, 22, of Gagebrook.

No one has been charged at this stage, however investigations are continuing.

“While we are currently speaking with two people, we believe that there are other people in the community who know what happened to Jarrod and we encourage them to come forward and speak with police at the earliest opportunity,” Detective Inspector Rossiter said.
