Two people were taken to hospital and 18 charges were laid for drug offences during a police operation at a dance party at Homebush overnight, NSW Police say.
A Police Drug Dog operation was conducted at the event, which ran between 8.30pm today, and 6am today tomorrow, with more than 9500 people attending.
A 19-year-old man was taken to Concord Hospital about 12.10am by NSW Ambulance Paramedics being found allegedly drug affected; he was released this morning.
A woman was also taken to Concord Hospital about 2.30am for a suspected drug overdose. Her condition is unknown.
Results from the operation include:
• 111 person searches
• 18 drug detections
• 16 charges of possess a prohibited drug, (12 for the possession of MDMA)
• Two cannabis cautions.
A 30-year-old man was charged on a first-instance warrant, and a 23-ytear-old man was charged with disobey a move-on direction, fail-to-quit premises and offensive behaviour.
