Two men arrested after pursuit, NSW

Two people have been arrested following a pursuit this morning in Bass Hil, NSW Police sayl

About 08:30am today, officers from Bankstown Local Area Command stopped a red Toyota Corolla on Moorebank Avenue in Moorebank.

It was alleged that vehicle was stolen and the single occupant, a 21-year-old man was arrested by police.

Following this, police attempted to stop a Toyota Landcruiser on Moorebank Avenue in Moorebank, which was with the red Toyota.

A pursuit was initiated when the Toyota failed to stop for police.

Police will allege the pursuit ended after the vehicle stopped at a shopping centre on the Hume Highway in Bass Hill. The occupants ran away from the car.

Police searched the area and arrested a 19-year-old man on Beatrice Street, Bass Hill.

The 21-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Police Station, whilst the 19-year-old man was taken to Bankstown Police Station.

Both men are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
