Two men have been charged with a burnout following an investigation by Strike Force Puma.
About 9am on Saturday (25 July 2020), the driver of a modified bronze Nissan 200sx sedan allegedly conducted a burnout, where the driver maintained a sustained loss of traction and performed numerous drifting manoeuvres on Cattai Ridge Road, Glenorie.
After a video was posted on social media, officers from Strike Force Puma commenced an investigation.
On Tuesday 28 July 2020, officers spoke to the driver, a 20-year-old man, at a Minto home.
The man was issued a court attendance notice for committing a burnout and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 9 September 2020.
His driver's licence was also suspended and confiscated.
Officers identified the owner/publisher of the social media page, a 33-year-old man, who was charged with urge etc view activity contrary to subsection (1), sustained loss of traction.
He was issued a court attendance notice to attend Parramatta local Court on Wednesday 23 September 2020.
Strike Force Puma was formed 2018 to target drivers with a history of licence offences and a repeated history of drink and drug driving offences, and drivers with extreme and erratic behaviours.
