Two men charged after warrants executed at Nagambie and Dookie

Police from Benalla Crime Investigation Unit and the Eastern Region Crime Squad have charged two people following the execution of search warrants in Nagambie and Dookie, Victoria Police say.

Investigators attended properties on Vine Street, Nagambie and Dookie Street, Dookie yesterday

The warrants were executed following a burglary which occurred at a jewellery store on Bridge Street, Benalla on Wednesday 19 October.

During the execution of the search warrant police seized a large quantity of jewellery believed to have been stolen during the burglary.

Police arrested a 42-year-old Nagambie man and 37-year-old Dookie man at the time the warrants were executed.

They have both been charged with burglary and theft.

The Nagambie man was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court today, while the Dookie man was remanded to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court today.
