Tasmania Police has charged two men with aggravated armed robbery following the armed robbery of the Mowbray Hotel on the evening of Wednesday 9 May 2018, Tasmania Police say.
Following the robbery, an investigation was commenced by member of the Northern Criminal Investigation Branch. As a result of that investigation, a 22 year old Launceston man was charged with aggravated armed robbery and appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday 24 July 2018.
On Wednesday 1 August, detectives charged a 25 year old George Town man with aggravated armed robbery. The man will first appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Monday 13 August 2018.
