Two men found with head injuries after brawl at Newtown

Police from Inner West Police Area Command have established a crime scene after two men were found suffering head injuries in Newtown.

About 1.30am (Thursday 2 July 2020), emergency services were called to King Street, near Eliza Street, Newtown, following reports of a fight between two groups of men.

On arrival officers found one man, believed to be aged 46, suffering head and facial injuries.

The second man, also aged 46, was knocked unconscious.

They were both treated at the scene before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for further treatment.

As police commence their inquiries, initial information suggests three men fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
