Two men injured after vehicle crashes into power pole and rolls - Sylvania

An investigation is underway after two men were injured in a single-vehicle crash in the Sutherland Shire last night.

Emergency services responded following reports a vehicle had hit a power pole and rolled on the Princes Highway, Sylvania, about 8pm yesterday (Saturday 2 November 2019).

On arrival, police also noted the crash had brought wires down and diversions were put in place to allow for the emergency response and repair work.

With the assistance of an off-duty nurse, first aid was rendered to the occupants of the vehicle – a 32-year-old male driver and a 39-year-old male passenger – before NSW Ambulance paramedics took the pair to St George Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver will also undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
