Two men injured following crash in Wollondilly

Police are investigating after two men were injured in single vehicle crash in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Silverdale Road, Wollondilly, just after 4.30pm today (Saturday 2 December 2017), following reports a Subaru had veered off the road and hit a power pole.

The driver and his passenger, both aged 19, were trapped in the vehicle for a period of time before being freed by Fire & Rescue NSW with assistance from Rural Fire Service.

Both men were treated at the scene by paramedics before one man was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital and the second man, who suffered broken leg, pelvis and lacerations, was taken to the same hospital by ambulance.

Officers attached to St Mary’s Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation with assistance from Crash Investigation Unit into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
