Two motorcyclists caught drink-driving at Semaphore Park, SA

Two motorcyclists have been caught drink-driving at Semaphore Park this evening, with both riders recording very high breath test results, according to SA Police.

Police will allege that at about 6pm on Sunday, 8 October, a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ducati motorcycle were seen speeding on Military Road.

Traffic patrols stopped the pair soon after and both riders underwent breath tests.

The 53-year-old West Lakes man riding the Suzuki recorded a breath test reading of 0.223. The rider of the Ducati, a 34-year-old man from Western Australia recorded a breath test reading of 0.174.

Both riders had their bikes impounded, and were each issued 12-month immediate loss of licence notices.

They were reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
