Two occupants suffer injuries in house fire in Casula

Officers from Liverpool Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Casula tonight, NSW Police say.

Just before 10pm (Monday 28 May 2018), emergency services were called to Fitzpatrick Crescent, Casula, following reports of a house fire.

On arrival officers located a home well alight; fortunately, the two occupants managed to escape and were found outside.

Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze while NSW Ambulance paramedics treated an 86-year-old woman for smoke inhalation and a 62-year-old man for burns to his hands.

They were both taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
