Two pedestrians injured in Corio crash

Geelong Highway Patrol officers are on the scene of a single-vehicle collision in the car park of a Corio shopping centre which occurred earlier this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

The collision occurred when a driver, who was attempting to drive into a car space, accelerated and mounted the kerb, colliding with two pedestrians just before 4pm.

The pedestrians, a 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, both from Manifold Heights, were conveyed to hospital.

The man sustained minor injuries while the woman received a serious leg injury.

The driver, a 26-year-old woman was also conveyed to hospital for observation.
