Two teens charged over armed robbery near Batemans Bay, NSW

Two teenagers have been charged over an alleged armed robbery on the state’s south coast yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 5.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 4 July 2018), police will allege two males entered a store in Grant Street, Broulee; one armed with a firearm and a knife and the other holding a knife.

They allegedly threatened a staff member before stealing cash and alcohol.

Officers from South Coast Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, two teenagers were arrested in Broulee about 8.30pm yesterday and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, and robbery armed with offensive weapon.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.

They were both refused bail and are due to face a children’s court today (Thursday 5 July 2018).
