Two teens charged over armed robbery, NSW

Two teenagers have been charged over an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s west yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just after 9pm (Thursday 13 September 2018), police will allege two males approached three boys, aged 16, on the platform of Mount Druitt Railway Station.

One of the males produced a knife and threatened the trio, demanding cash and property.

The boys handed over their property, before the two males fled.

Police were notified and officers from Public Transport & Public Safety Command, along with Mount Druitt Police Area Command, attended.

Following inquires, two teenagers were located at a nearby bus terminal and arrested. They were both taken to Riverstone Police Station.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Friday 14 September 2018).

A 15-year-old boy was charged with robbery in company.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on Tuesday 2 October 2018.
