Three people remain in hospital after a two-vehicle crash in the state’s north yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 2.20pm (Wednesday 18 July 2018), emergency services were called to The Bucketts Way at Stroud, approximately 93km south-west of Taree, following reports a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Hilux had collided.
The driver of the Corolla and sole occupant, a 62-year-old woman, was flown by rescue helicopter to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the Hilux, a 74-year-old man, and his passenger, a 69-year-old woman, both sustained injuries.
The woman was flown by rescue helicopter to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital. He remains in a stable condition.
Officers from the Newcastle Crash Investigation Unit established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
