Two-vehicle crash, NSW

Police are appealing for witnesses after a two-vehicle crash resulted in one of the vehicles hitting a nearby home in the Blue Mountains last night, NSW Police say.

Just before 10pm today, a 21-year-old man was driving a gold Toyota Camry west along Megalong Street, Katoomba.

As he approached the intersection of Wascoe Street, Leura, the Toyota collided with a second vehicle, a Honda, driven in the same direction by a 61-year-old man.

The Toyota then hit a front fence, trees and front decking of a home nearby. Minimal damage was caused to the home.

Officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command were called, who attended and spoke to the two drivers.

The younger man was taken to Blue Mountains Hospital as a precaution; the older man was uninjured.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
