Two Vehicle Fatal Crash South Arm Highway Lauderdale – 14 May 2017, TAS

Approximately 5.30pm  on Sunday the 14th of May, 2017 a two vehicle crash occurred on the South Arm Highway Lauderdale just prior to the intersection of Forest Hill Road, Tasmania Police say.

The crash has occurred when a green Subaru station wagon travelling south has lost control and crossed to the incorrect side of the road.  The Subaru travelled passenger side first into the path of a north bound Ford Ranger.

The Subaru was being driven by a 45 year old man from South Arm.  The 48 year old female passenger in the Subura from Dodges Ferry was killed instantly.  The driver was treated at the scene by members of the public but he died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford a 31 year old man from Howrah received minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment before being released.

Police would like to speak to any person who may have witnessed the crash.
