Two Victorian men charged after ICE seizure, TAS

Two Victorian men have been charged with drug offences following a significant seizure of methylamphetamine (ICE) in Launceston this morning, Tasmania Police say.

At 9.15am today, members of the Northern Drug Investigation Services and Northern CIB executed a search warrant at a Launceston hotel, where two rooms were searched.

As a result of the search, a quantity of methlyamphetamine (ICE) with a street value of $100,000 and several thousand dollars of cash was seized.

A 38 year old Victorian man was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Dealing in the Proceeds of Crime. He will appear in an out of hours hearing in the Launceston Magistrates Court tonight.

A 50 year old Victorian man was charged with Possessing a Controlled Drug and Dealing in the Proceeds of Crime and was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 28 September.
