Two youths arrested over fire, NSW

Two youths have been arrested after a fire was deliberately lit in Sydney’s west this morning, NSW Police say.

About 10.20am (Monday 22 January 2018), police will allege two boys deliberately set fire to bushland near Warbler Street, Erskine Park.

The fire was extinguished before it caused damage to any property. No one was injured.

Police from Nepean Police Area Command attended and arrested the two youths.

The teenagers, both aged 13, will be dealt with under the Youth Offenders Act.

A total fire ban is in place for the Greater Sydney, Greater Hunter, Central Ranges and Southern Ranges areas today.
