Ukraine reports artillery attacks from Belarus

Ukrainian border guards came under fire from the territory of Belarus in the morning of February 24, said the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in a statement.

According to the statement, attacks on border units and checkpoints are carried out with the use of artillery, heavy equipment and firearms near Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions, as well as from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

After Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" in Ukraine's eastern region, there are multiple reports of missile strikes on cities deep inside Ukraine.

Air strikes and explosions were reported in Kiev, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Odessa.
