Unit fire - Lane Cove, NSW

Inquiries are underway into the cause of a fire which damaged a unit at lane Cove overnight.

Emergency services were called to the block on Mowbray Road, just after 7pm (Saturday 10 March 2018), following reports of a fire, NSW Police say.

Neighbouring residents had left their units as a precaution.

Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.

There was no one home at the time but the unit was destroyed.

A number of residents were treated for smoke inhalation; however, no one was seriously injured.

A crime scene has been preserved will be examined.

The cause of the fire is still to be determined.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
