Unlawful entry and stolen vehicle in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are investigating an unlawful entry of a business in which three vehicles were damaged and a small truck was stolen and crashed, in Alice Springs earlier this week.

Around 2:30am on Tuesday police responded to a report of a truck roll over on Brown Street, and on arrival located a truck on its side with no occupants inside.

Inquiries by officers revealed the truck had been stolen from a business on Priest Street.

It is alleged unknown offenders broke into the truck yard on around 2am and rummaged through four vehicles before attempting to reverse a prime mover, which struck and damaged two other vehicles parked at the address.

The offender/s then drove a truck from the yard, which was located by police on Brown Street. The truck was extensively damaged from the crash.
