Strike Force Trident are investigating an unlawful entry which occurred at a Berrimah business around 1:00am this morning.
It is believed a group of youths forced entry into the location and stole a large number of knives. Investigations are ongoing to identify and locate the offenders.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said the knives stolen range from pocket knives through to open blade knives and can all be purchased legitimately.
"There is no indication that the knives have been stolen for violent purposes. Police request anyone who may have information to contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
