Unlawful entry in Alice Springs

A man received injuries after jumping through a glass window during an unlawful entry in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 3am, occupants of a home in East Side woke to noises inside the premises and confronted an unknown man.

It is alleged the man attempted to flee the scene by jumping through an unopened glass window, causing it to shatter and sustaining cuts to his arms and hands before running from the area.

Officers located the man along Grevillia Drive and transported him to hospital for treatment.

Nothing was stolen during the incident.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with one count of Aggravated Unlawfully Enter Dwelling and will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court at a later date.
