Unlawful use of a motor vehicle in West Mackay, QLD

Three teenage boys have been charged after a vehicle was allegedly stolen and driven through the fence of a business in West Mackay on Sunday Night, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged on April 15 around 10pm a group of people entered a car yard on Holland Street and stole the keys to a vehicle.

The group then allegedly entered the vehicle and used it to ram a gate of the business before driving out onto Hume Street.

Police conducting patrols of the area observed the broken gates of the business on the road and commenced an investigation.

Three teenagers have since been arrested in relation to the matter.

A 16-year-old Mackay boy and a 14-year-old Andergrove boy have both been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of wilful damage, stealing and enter premises and commit indictable offence.

A 17-year-old Slade Point boy has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, wilful damage, stealing and enter premises and commit indictable offence.

Investigations are continuing.
