Unlawful Use Of Motor Vehicle, South Toowoomba

Police have charged a 19-year-old man following a break and enter and unlawful use of motor vehicle offence in South Toowoomba on 22 February.

Around 7.50am police were called to Windmill Street after receiving reports of an unconscious man sitting in the driver's seat of a white 2016 Mercedes - Benz C200.

It is further alleged when officers attended the scene and attempted to immobilise the vehicle the man drove off and collided with a stationary police car.

He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

No one was physically injured in the incident.

Police will further allege the Mercedes was stolen from a Kaytons Street address in Drayton on 21 February.

A 19-year-old Kearneys Spring man has been charged with one count each of burglary, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehcile while adversely affected, unlicenced driving and fail to provide specimen of blood.

He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, 23 February.
