Police investigating the alleged overnight stabbing of a man on Mornington Island have charged a woman with unlawful wounding – domestic violence offence, Queensland Police say.
It will be alleged that an argument occurred between a man and woman at a Wardirrkun Street residence shortly after 12.30am today during which time the man was stabbed in the chest.
A 25-year-old man was transported to a medical facility with a serious chest injury.
Police arrested a 23-year-old woman who appeared in the Mornington Island Magistrates Court today and is due to re-appear on July 3.
