Unlawful Wounding, Surfers Paradise

Police are investigating following an unlawful wounding incident at Surfers Paradise this morning, July 14.

Emergency services were called to Orchid Avenue just after 2.30am to reports of a disturbance between a group of people.

Upon arrival, police declared a crime scene after a 20-year-old Palm Beach man was located with a stab wound.

He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It is understood three men left the scene in a vehicle, prior to police arrival.

At approximately 3.10am, a black Holden Commodore was located abandoned in Molendinar following a single-vehicle traffic crash.

Three men were taken into police custody nearby a short time later and are assisting police with investigations.
