Upcoming construction on St. Andrews Lock and Dam

From: Public Services and Procurement Canada

Winnipeg, Manitoba, May 4, 2020 - Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise users of upcoming construction for maintenance work on the west side quay wall at the St. Andrews Lock and Dam facility at Lockport.

The project is anticipated to begin in June and as a result, the area will be inaccessible to the public and will be closed for the season. The entire area, including stairways, is anticipated to re open in the spring of 2021.

Any vessels transiting the locks will not be able to tie their boats to the lower quay wall during the construction period.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the St. Andrews Lock and Dam and thanks them for their patience.
