Update 2 – Suspicious death in Logan, QLD

A man has been charged following investigations into the suspicious death of a four-month-old girl taken to the Logan Hospital last month suffering life-threatening-injuries, Queensland Police say.

The infant was transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition, where she passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 20.

An investigation centre was established under Operation Quebec Lugano with detectives from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit and State Crime Command’s Homicide and Child Trauma squads involved.

This morning, a 37-year-old Waterford West man was charged with six counts of leaving a child unattended and one count of child cruelty.

He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 14.

On Monday December 17, a 35-year-old Waterford West woman was charged with murder.
