Update 3 – Wounding investigation – third man charged – Gympie

Gympie detectives investigating an alleged wounding incident that occurred at a Rifle Range Road property on November 28  have arrested and charged a third man over the incident, Queensland Police say.

A 27-year-old Gympie man has been charged with one count each of wounding, enter dwelling with intent, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, as well as two counts of robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon.

He has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday December 7.

A 21-year-old Chatsworth man and a 25-year-old Glastonbury man were both previously charged in relation to this incident.

A 24-year-old man had been transported to hospital with serious stab wounds following the alleged  November 28 incident.

The 27-year-old man was arrested today at an address in Cootharaba Road where police also arrested two people on unrelated drug matters.

A 51-year-old man was charged with one count of supplying dangerous drugs and a 31-year-old woman was charged with one count each of supplying dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs and two counts of possessing drug utensils.

Police have now apprehended all offenders believed to have been present during the alleged wounding incidence however they are still appealing for any witnesses that may be able to assist with their investigation to come forward.
