Update – Armed robbery at Nerang, QLD

A 34-year-old man has been charged in relation to the armed robbery of a service station at Nerang on July 11, 2018, Queensland Police say.

During the incident it is alleged a man entered the Riverview Road business armed with a knife. The female staff member retreated to a locked room at the rear of the store and the man allegedly removed some cigarettes before leaving the store.

A 34-year-old Wynnum West man has been charged with armed robbery.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
