Update – Armed robbery Meadowbrook

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested a man in relation to the armed robbery of a hotel in Meadowbrook on January 1, 2017, Queensland Police say.

During the armed robbery it is alleged the man walked into the drive through section of the Logan Down Drive hotel produced a knife and demanded money.

It is alleged the man obtained a sum of cash from an employee.

A 37-year-old Currumbin Valley man has been charged with armed robbery.

He appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday April 6 and was remanded in custody to reappear in the same court on May 2, 2017.
