Update – Attempted armed robbery in Darra, QLD

Detectives investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Darra supermarket last week have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak with over the incident, Queensland Police say.

Around 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 9 the man entered the Monier Road store carrying a machete.

At the time several employees who observed the man enter the store were able lock themselves in a store room.

The armed man attempted to access the locked room however was unsuccessful and fled a short time after.

Investigators have released CCTV images of a man described as being approximately between 180-190cm tall, with a dark complexion, sold build, wearing dark boots, dark long pants, orange hi-vis jacket with a hoodie and carrying a machete.
