Detectives have charged a man with murder following the death of a woman in Deeragun early yesterday morning, Queensland Police say.
Police were called to a residence on Innes Street following reports of an assault, and a 59-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 19-year-old Deeragun man has been charged with one count of murder and entering a dwelling with intent. He is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today, December 9.
