Police have charged a woman after a man died in an altercation that occurred in Babinda yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Officers were called to a park on Harwood Drive at 12.10pm after reports of a physical altercation between a man and a woman.
A 23-year-old man was transported to hoptial with an alleged stanb wound to his chest but he was pronouced deceased a short time later.
A woman who was known to the man was taken into custody at the scene.
A 24-year-old Miriwinni woman has been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court today.
