Some recycling bin collections were recently delayed by up to 48 hours. This was because our contractor, Cleanaway, was experiencing driver shortages.
As of the week commencing Monday 26 September 2022, Cleanaway's driver shortage issue has improved. Therefore, delays to recycling bin collections should no longer be occurring as a result of this issue. We now ask our community to revert back to the normal process for reporting missed bin collections to us.
If you find your recycling bin has not been emptied by 2pm on your usual collection day, please let us know by using our Report a bin problem form.
Unfortunately, driver shortages are occurring industry wide. We continue to work closely with Cleanaway to ensure they make improvements to their service and return recycling bin collections to their normal schedule as quickly as possible.
