Update – Renewed appeal for info into the death of Ingham man

Ingham detectives have renewed their appeal for public assistance as police continue to investigate the death of 66-year-old local man Lance Godbold, Queensland Police say.

Police were called to a Conroy Street home around 6.35am on Wednesday, October 3 after Mr. Godbold collapsed.

Police and ambulance officers performed CPR however Mr. Godbold was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Detectives believe Mr. Godbold may have been involved in an altercation with a male earlier that morning and are appealing for public assistance.

"Our investigations indicate Mr. Godbold was possibly involved in some sort of altercation or disturbance with an unknown male on the footpath in Conroy Street at around 5am.

"We are hoping someone may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist us with our investigation. This could include noticing someone out of place or something suspicious that morning, or in the preceding days," Detective Sergeant Andrew Bye said.

The male is described as having a dark complexion, approximately 183cms tall and a solid build.

Anyone with dash cam vision from the area around Conroy Street, that has not already spoken to police, is urged to contact police.
