Update – Robbery charges at Eagleby, QLD

Police investigating a violent robbery at Eagleby yesterday evening have charged four men in relation to the incident, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged at about 8pm, three men armed with knives entered a Westray Court address and demanded car keys from the occupants.

The three men took a quantity of property including car keys and fled in a black Jeep Cherokee taken from the address.

It is further alleged that approximately an hour later the three offenders returned to the same address and used the stolen keys to gain entry to the garage where they took a second vehicle, a red Toyota sedan.

Police located four men today after the red Toyota sedan was involved in a crash at West End.

A 22-year-old Slacks Creek man and a 21-year-old Woodridge man have both been charged with one count each of robbery, enter dwelling with intent and two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 36-year-old Woodridge man is charged with one count each of robbery, enter dwelling with intent and fraud, and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 26-year-old Woodridge man is charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.

All four men will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 19.

Investigations are continuing in relation to the outstanding Jeep Cherokee.
