Update – Serious assault in Beenleigh, QLD

Police have charged two men with grievous bodily harm following the alleged serious assault of a man in Beenleigh on Saturday night, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged around 9.40pm, a 37-year-old man whilst at a party in Aragon Street, was assaulted by a group of five men in the front yard of the residence.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have established an Investigation Centre and today arrested a 17-year-old Buccan man and a 36-year-old Bahrs Scrub man in relation to the alleged incident.

The two men have been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and remanded in police custody to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Detectives continue their appeal to any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or who have information that may assist with the investigation to contact police.

The 37-year-old man remains in the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life threatening head injuries.
