Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a motorcycle crash which occurred at Ayr this morning (January 12), Queensland Police say.
At about 11am a Ducati motorcycle was travelling inbound from Alva Beach towards Ayr.
The 49-year-old male rider lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown from the bike.
The man was transported to the Ayr Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased later that afternoon.
Investigations are continuing.
