Update – Traffic incident at Robina, QLD

A man has been charged following investigation into an alleged traffic incident on Scottsdale Drive at Robina last week, Queensland Police say.

Around 1.25pm on Wednesday, January 3 it will be alleged a 47-year-old man exited a white Toyota utility and attempted to grab the arm of the female driver of a second vehicle.

It will further be alleged the man tried to grab the key out of the ignition breaking the key off in the ignition before throwing remaining keys into the bush.

The man attended the Coolangatta Police Station this afternoon and was interviewed in relation to the incident.

A 47-year-old Tweed Heads man has been charged with one count each of enter premises and common assault.

He has also been charged with wilful damage and public nuisance in relation an alleged incident at Currumbin Creek boat ramp on December 14.

The man is expected to appear in the Coolangatta Magistrates Court on January 22.
