Updated Arrivals Associated Direction 4 December, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 4) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 5) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 2:53pm 4 December 2021.

Key changes include:

Testing Requirements:

New South Wales, ACT and Victoria are now deemed to be Moderate Risk LGA’s. All arrivals from these locations are now subject to the following requirements:

  • Pre-arrival negative test result within 72 hours before arrival
  • Must submit to a COVID-19 test on arrival and quarantine until negative test results
  • Submit to a COVID-19 test on day 6 after arrival
  • May not enter a High Risk Setting for 7 days after arrival
  • Must check for symptoms once each day for 14 days after arrival

Please note: these provisions now apply to all Moderate Risk LGA’s.

Cross border community members are reminded all of New South Wales and Victoria are Level 3. If cross border community members leave the cross border corridor into broader New South Wales or Victoria during the period of 7 days before they arrive in South Australia they are required to have a negative COVID-19 test taken in the 72 hours prior to entering South Australia.
