To give AGPT participants a better understanding of NCP, we made updates to provide clarity around training terms and support payments. This includes:
- pro-rata payments for registrars training part-time
- payments for registrars training across multiple Modified Monash Model (MM) locations
- case scenarios to show how payments are calculated
- a glossary to explain the terminology used in GP training.
Note: For registrars training in different MM locations in a training term, the updates may result in separate payments rather than one payment in advance.
For current participants please contact your college to learn how the changes from semester 2, 2025 may impact your payments. Colleges may also support you further through their flexible payments policy.
Modified Monash Model (MM) reclassifications
From semester 2, 2025 Modified Monash Model reclassifications, as announced by Minister Butler Strengthening Medicare: more doctors and larger Medicare payments for dozens of communities, were implemented. 17 locations have become more rural, improving some NCP participant's eligibility for higher payments (for example, some MM1 locations have been reclassified to MM2).
