Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Sasha Baker met with Norwegian Ministry of Defense State Secretary Anne Marie Aanerud on April 3.
During the meeting, they discussed ongoing support for Ukraine, the security environment in the High North, and the amendment to the U.S.-Norway Supplemental Defence Cooperation Agreement (SDCA) to advance our bilateral work together in support of collective deterrence and defense.
Acting Under Secretary Baker lauded Norway's leadership on a range of international security issues and its long-term commitment to support Ukraine.
Both leaders expressed their commitment to continued dialogue between the United States and Norway on issues of mutual concern to further deepen our bilateral defense relationship.
