USAID Chief Power Discusses Aid with Australia's Minister Conroy

Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Pat Conroy, Minister for International Development and the Pacific and for Defence Industry for Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Administrator Power expressed her gratitude for the progress USAID and DFAT have made in expanding our collaboration around the world. The two discussed our ongoing climate cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, as well as our shared priorities for multilateral development bank reforms. Additionally, the Administrator and Minister spoke about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and how USAID and DFAT can work together to continue to provide critical assistance.

Administrator Power and Minister Conroy also talked about USAID and DFAT's shared desire to enhance collaboration between the agencies, knowledge sharing, and officer-to-officer links in order to more deeply and seamlessly engage in partnership.
