Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with the United Arab Emirates Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange and Director General of the Office of the Prime Minister Abdulla Lootah.
Administrator Power and Deputy Minister Lootah discussed ways to deepen cooperation between USAID and the UAE, including exploring opportunities for knowledge exchange and capacity building with partner countries in areas such as women's empowerment, information technology training, and business competitiveness. Administrator Power and Deputy Minister Lootah also discussed opportunities to advance bilateral priorities at COP 28, beginning in November 2023 in Dubai.
