On the anniversary of her passing, it is a privilege to announce a special scholarship in honour of the late Dr Vanessa Goodwin, our dear friend and colleague.
The Dr Vanessa Goodwin Law Reform Scholarship will be targeted at undergraduates at the University of Tasmania with a demonstrated interest in law reform.
The Tasmanian Government is proud to support this unique UTAS scholarship with a contribution of $60,000.
Vanessa was herself an accomplished student and graduate, undertaking much of her education at the University of Tasmania.
Vanessa was highly respected by all sides of politics and recognised for her dedication to Tasmania's legal system, particularly prisoner rehabilitation.
This scholarship is a fitting tribute to her legacy, as it will help foster and support the next generation of legal minds in Tasmania.
