The Major Crash Unit are currently investigating a single vehicle crash which occurred around 2:00am this morning on Lee Point Road in Muirhead, Northern Territory Police say
The vehicle was travelling inbound on Lee Point Road when it left the road and struck a tree.
Six people, including five youths, were in the vehicle.
The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted by the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service.
All occupants of the vehicle have been taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital with one person remaining under observation.
The scene has been cleared and Lee Point Road between Coleman Street and Daldawa Terrace is now open to the public.
Investigations are still ongoing as to what caused the crash.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or sighted a white Mitsubishi 380 around the time of the crash to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers.
